Networking More than Just Working the Room...

Have you ever sat in your office staring at a pile of business cards you have collected at networking events not knowing what to do next? Networking is more than simply ‘working the room’ or having a catchy introductory line. This workshop reveals the secret behind being a GREAT networking. You don’t need to be confident, socially skilled or popular. In fact you don’t even need to speak than more than 2 or 3 people at a networking event. You just need to know the secret!

Genesis Commerce Group were proud to introduce the Lieutenant Governor of South Australia, Hieu Van Le as our guest speaker at our most recent luncheon at the beautiful Adelaide Oval on 9th June, 2011.

Mr Hieu Van Le, who is also the chairman of the SA Multicultural & Ethnic Affairs Commission, gave a passionate talk on his experiences as a Vietnam refugee on his voyage to Australia back in in 1977. He has since completed a degree at the Adelaide University and along with his family has assimilated beautifully into the Australian Society. His talk reflected on the search for peace and the advantages of refugee migration in Australia. Over the years there was always a thought that these migrants will not accept the free Australian culture. Hieu rightfully pointed out that history now tells us that all of the nationalities that have migrated to Australia over the many past decades have made successful transitions into our society, making Australia one of the best examples in the modern world.
